DOSHA QUIZ  Do you know your dosha type?

In Ayurveda, everything in our natural world comprises the three doshas - vata, pitta, and kapha. Each dosha has a number of corresponding qualities that are expressed in the physical, emotional, and mental aspects of one’s being. All of us have some aspects of each dosha, but one or two doshas tend to dominate, informing everything from digestion to our emotions.

The doshas are pairings of the elemental energies (the 5 elements - air, space, fire, water, and earth). You have all three doshas in you; however, one or two are primarily present, making up your unique constitution.

Answer the questions based on your overall, lifelong tendencies and not according to temporary or recent conditions. Then count the characteristics you have chosen in each column. The column with the highest score determines your constitution.

For each question, choose the option that best describes you.  After completing the quiz, tally up your selections to determine your dominant dosha.  The letter you select most frequently will represent your primary dosha.   Mostly A's: Vata • Mostly B's: Pitta • Mostly C's: Kapha
